The Tribes of the Plateau

Sixteen plates in the Escarpment Terrace design language — one high country, many peoples. From the Jos Plateau down to the Benue trough: Berom, Ngas, Tarok, Mwaghavul, Afizere, Goemai, Irigwe, Anaguta, Ron, Kofyar, Eggon, Alago, Mada, Gwandara, Rindre and Eloyi. Each tee carries a people of the high country on the front and Plate 0, the escarpment map, on the back: the plateau rising in contours, sixteen peoples bound by kin-lines, the Benue braided below. Black shirts carry the bone-and-laterite plates; white shirts carry the deep-umber plates.
