The Sullubawa hold a distinction no other Fulɓe clan can claim: ruling houses in two of the great emirates at once. From the jihad settlement onward, Sullubawa lines rose to the thrones of both Kano and Katsina — and the current Emir of Kano still descends from that house. One clan, two cities, two centuries of rule.

The plate states it plainly: two great rings, ink for Kano, gold for Katsina, interlocked above a dotted survey baseline — two thrones sharing one bloodline.
