Where the Wolarɓe herded, the Yillaga'en rode. A warrior clan of the Adamawa marches, they carried the northern rivers of Fombina — their leaders founding sub-emirates that guarded the frontier where the caliphate met the mountain peoples. In the chronicles of Fombina, theirs is the lance beside Adama's flag.

The plate sets a single rust lance across a field of ridge chevrons — one weapon over the whole march country it answered for.
